Upcoming dates and changes to the regular schedule

We worship as guests of St. Michaelis, the local SELK congregation, and are grateful for their generous hospitality.

All times are local time in Germany. Wednesday worship alternates between German and English; please ask Pastor Jensen which language is scheduled for the date you plan to attend.

Use Karpfenstraße 7 as your destination for worship. If you need help finding us or have a question about access, contact the pastor before your visit.

Coming into the service

Our service follows a printed liturgy with readings, hymns, prayers and a sermon. You may listen as you become familiar with it. You do not have to know when to stand or how to sing the responses to be welcome.

Children are welcome in worship with their families. If you have questions about bringing a baby or helping a child follow the service, please ask. Worship is for them, too.

Holy Communion

We confess that Christ gives his true body and blood in the Lord’s Supper for the forgiveness of sins. Please speak with Pastor Jensen before receiving Holy Communion.

The LCMS and the Selbständige Evangelisch-Lutherische Kirche (SELK) are in full altar and pulpit fellowship. Members of SELK congregations are welcome to join us for the Divine Service and receive Holy Communion. We welcome you as guests from our sister church, with respect for your ties to your home congregation.

Questions before you come

Do I need to be Lutheran to visit?

No. You are welcome to attend, listen and ask questions, whether you are Lutheran, belong to another church or are exploring Christianity.

Is there a German service on Sunday?

Sunday worship is in English. Wednesday services alternate between German and English at 18:15. Contact the pastor for the dated language schedule.

What happens after Sunday worship?

The congregation’s fellowship arrangements include coffee, Bible class and Sunday school at Kirche Mittendrin, Adolph-Kolping-Platz 11. Ask about the arrangements for your Sunday; this is a different address from the worship location.
