Upcoming dates and changes to the regular schedule

Sunday worship is in English at 08:30. Wednesday Divine Service is at 18:15, alternating between German and English, followed at 19:00 by study of the Lutheran Confessions. Ask Pastor Jensen for the language scheduled on a particular Wednesday and about taking part in the study.

A liturgy shaped by Scripture

Our Sunday service uses Divine Service Setting Three from Lutheran Service Book or the liturgy of The Lutheran Hymnal. Its words draw us into the prayer of the Church across generations: confession and absolution, psalms and hymns, readings from Scripture, the Creed and the Lord’s Prayer.

The sermon proclaims God’s Law and Gospel. The Law exposes our sin and our need for mercy; the Gospel announces forgiveness for Jesus’ sake. Jesus’ death and resurrection are the ground of our hope, in ordinary weeks as well as at Christmas and Easter.

The Lord’s Supper

At his altar Christ gives his true body and blood with the bread and wine, for the forgiveness of sins. His words, “given and shed for you,” turn us away from confidence in ourselves and toward his promise.

The LCMS and the Selbständige Evangelisch-Lutherische Kirche (SELK) are in full altar and pulpit fellowship. Members of SELK congregations are welcome to join us for the Divine Service and receive Holy Communion. We welcome you as guests from our sister church, with respect for your ties to your home congregation.

Please speak with Pastor Jensen before receiving Holy Communion. If you would like to understand the sacrament or discuss your church background, get in touch before coming.

Learning the faith

The Christian life continues in hearing Scripture, prayer and instruction. The Wednesday Confessions study offers a way to read the Church’s confession together and ask what it means. For questions about Baptism, catechesis or pastoral care, speak with the pastor.
