Reading the archive

The Kaiserslautern Lutheran includes pastoral teaching and news from the congregation. Newsletter calendars and announcements belong to the issue in which they appeared; use our worship page for regular service information and contact the pastor about a particular date.

Archived sermons also retain their original setting and authorship. A sermon in the archive is not necessarily the sermon for the coming Sunday. If you are looking for a particular reading or topic, ask Pastor Jensen.

Studying the Lutheran Confessions

The Small Catechism teaches the Ten Commandments, Creed, Lord’s Prayer, Baptism, confession and the Lord’s Supper. It is a good place to begin asking how Christian teaching shapes daily faith and prayer.

The Book of Concord provides the confessional texts online. The LCMS website offers further information about our church body.

Reading can begin a conversation. You are also welcome to ask about instruction or the Wednesday study of the Lutheran Confessions.
