Finding a church after a move
A move overseas brings practical questions as well as the loss of familiar faces. You can contact our pastor before arriving or simply come to Sunday worship. You need not wait until you have settled every part of the move.
Our English-language Sunday service begins at 08:30 at Karpfenstraße 7, 67655 Kaiserslautern. We use Divine Service Setting Three from Lutheran Service Book or the liturgy of The Lutheran Hymnal. Families with children are welcome.
Word, Sacrament and pastoral care
We confess Christ crucified and risen, who forgives sinners by grace through faith. His Word and Sacraments are the heart of parish life, whether you are here for a short assignment or several years.
Speak with Pastor Jensen about catechesis, Baptism, pastoral care or becoming part of the congregation. Please speak with him before receiving Holy Communion. If you are arriving from another parish, you are welcome to introduce yourself and discuss your church background.
A civilian congregation
KELC began in 1985 among Lutherans in the Kaiserslautern Military Community. We are a congregation of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod, not a military chapel. This invitation does not imply endorsement by the U.S. military or Department of Defense.
Our visit guide gives the worship address and explains what to expect. For help planning your visit or a private conversation, contact Pastor Jensen.
